Celebrity makeup artist Lettie Mix was southern raised in Chattanooga Tennessee. In 1994, Lettie began her makeup career with Olan Mills Glamour Studios doing hair, makeup and photography . Realizing that she had a passion to work in the fashion and film industries she moved to California in 1998.In 1998, Lettie was personally trained by Celebrity artist Donna Mee, owner of Empire Makeup Academy and is currently certified in all aspects of makeup artistry. After receiving her certification, Lettie began working for Internationally known Smashbox Cosmetics and Studios. Lettie was with Smashbox Cosmetics for 8 years and traveled nationwide as the National Artistry Trainer. In 2007, Lettie began a freelance career to focus more on her passion for the fashion and film industries.
In 2009, Lettie was invited to join Team Kona Tanning on world-famous Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California. Team Kona Tanning's airbrush spray tans can be seen on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway, fitness magazines like Oxygen and Muscle & Fitness, and the glossy pages of iconic Playboy Magazine.
When she isn't painting faces at her nearest Fashion Week or runway show, Lettie enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and chihuahua, Sage. Lettie is known for being ultra professional, down to earth, and has a keen ability to make even the most chaotic backstage feel calm and collected (must be that Southern Hospitality!).
Lettie’s client list includes celebrities Randy Jackson, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Mandy Moore, Tori Spelling, Cindy Crawford, Nick Lachey, Nelly Furtado, Jimmy Kimmel, Lo Bosworth, Kate Flannery, Creed Bratten, Edward Furlong, Taryn Manning, Michelle Phillips, Chynna Phillips, Kimberly Stewart, Romeo, and Master P. Lettie has had the privilege of working with such designers as Marc Jacobs, Louis Verdad, Badgley Mischka, Frankie B., Morphine Generation, Rock and Republic, Antik Denim, Joes Jeans, bebe, Toni Maticevski, Eduardo Lucero, Skin Flick, and Shay Todd.
