Mantyhose: Pantyhose For Men Hit The Shelves

source:  Sharzville.com

That isn't a typo!  Pantyhose for men are now available for purchase!  The question is, gentlemen, will you be buying a pair?

In our quest to find an image to use, we found that the idea of men wearing pantyhose isn't entirely out of the question (cue the men's fishnets on Amazon - WOW!).  We're wondering if these will bring the wearing of men's pantyhose a little more mainstream (see Tyson Beckford wearing Mantyhose), making it a little easier to make the splurge - and (gasp!) - even show them off in public?  Daisy Dukes, anyone?

So will you be buying Mantyhose?  And, if so, will you wear them in public?

Fake Fashion Braces Make For Trendy Faces

I remember getting braces at 20 years old, hoping for a perfect set of pearly whites by the time my 21st birthday rolled around.  I felt too old for them even then, but I figured that it's best to get them over with - it'll never get easier!  I remember it like it was yesterday, because my orthodontist had a terrible surprise for me: he thought I had requested gold braces.  Maybe because rappers had just introduced the world to grills, or maybe because he had hoped to match my smile to my reddish-orange hair, I really don't know where the mistake was made.  I can laugh at it now, but at the time I couldn't get out of that office fast enough!  I was horrified!

Everything worked out though, because braces didn't keep me from meeting my husband.  Even though I did everything I could to distract attention away from my teeth, he thought they were cute!  Had I only known that there would be a time (in my own lifetime!) that braces could actually be IN STYLE!

New beauty trend - fake braces
2013 opened up with a strange new trend straight from Asia, and it's a real head-scratcher:  fake braces! But seriously, would you really choose these notoriously undesirable accessories?  It's about time metal mouths became enviable.  (Having had them, I'm just not sure that I'll ever envy them.  EVER.)
According to Cosmopolitan, "Braces are the next big thing - it's about time we stopped associating them with being un-snoggable!  In Indonesia, Thailand and China, braces are cool. Fashion braces are a hot new beauty trend symbolising wealth, status and style."
However, beauty can hurt!  Cosmo continues, "This totally professional dental accessory is moving toward DIY - now that's just stupid.  Real braces can already cause quite a bit of health risks from tooth decay to mouth sores, but fake braces can potentially lead to death.
"After two Thai girls died from infections caused by bad bracing, the government put up a ban on them, making them an even hotter commodity. It's now hit the black market and online through dodgy websites."
What do you think of this hard to believe beauty trend?

Eyelash Perms in Orange County? Yep! | OC Weekly

Eyelash Perms? Yep

[Trendzilla] The FDA might not approve, but you do end up with curlier lashes

Look out, gals, it’s something else you didn’t know about to spend your money on: eyelash perming.
Though the practice has been around for ages in Asian countries, eyelash perming has only made its way Stateside this past decade. In fact, you might be hard-pressed to find a salon that offers such a service.Did your eyeballs just retract themselves into their sockets? Sorry.
It’s simple: Your lashes are first cleaned and dried. As you keep your eyes shut, a small foam or cotton rod covered with a delicate adhesive is carefully applied to the skin just above your lash line. Next, the beautician pushes your lashes down to wrap across the rod and applies a perming solution to the lashes, and then covers the whole thing in aSaran Wrap-like material. You marinate for a while; next, a neutralizing conditioner is painted on. The Saran Wrap goes back on, you continue marination, and that’s it. The whole procedure is normally completed within 45 minutes.
For anywhere up to three months, you can put away that eyelash curler—and maybe even that mascara—as your lashes will remained curled skyward without any effort. Result? Brighter, more awake, even more youthful eyes. As your lashes grow and fall out, results will become less and less noticeable.
There’s just one tiny thing: Eyelash perming, in addition to similar procedures such as eyebrow and eyelash tinting, has not yet been approved by the FDA. While many women have had eyelash perms, eyebrow tints and the like done frequently without problem, a careless beautician could conceivably get those chemicals in your eyes. And if you already have dry, brittle lashes, lash loss or breakage is also a possibility.
Yes, I’ve had an eyelash perm done before, and yes, the results are pretty enviable.
It’s just another thing to add to the list that women risk in pursuit of beauty: permanent make-up tattooed on faces; implants here, there and everywhere; lipo, etc.
And we previously discussed Latisse, the drug applied externally to encourage longer, thicker lashes . . . which also might potentially increase brown iris pigmentation in light-colored eyes.
If you’re still interested in eyelash perming, there are a couple of beauty salons offering the procedure here in Orange County:
Many gals I know swear by those offered at Atlas Studio, which is a Japanese nail salon offering some astounding, heavily decorated manicures the Japanese have come to be known for. 2971 Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa, (714) 429-1048; www.atlasstudiousa.com. $35, includes post-perm-care treatment.
And while I've only been here for the (awesome) facials, Yuzuki Salon is another Japanese spa and salon that offers eyelash perms. Be aware that the English here is limited, but staff members are polite and incredibly attentive. 2072 Orchard Dr., Newport Beach, (949) 833-3332; yuzukisalon.com. $38.
