Kona Tanning is at New York Fashion Week - Spring / Summer 2013

New York City is humming with excitement as Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week is well underway!  Team Kona celebrated Fashion's Night Out at Saks Fifth Avenue with Tom Pecheux, and Victoria's Secret Soho with Alessandra Ambrosio.  Kona Katie worked on Tom's body makeup team with Alessandra at the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, so it was great to reunite with a great makeup icon, and a great leader!  The humid September weather has left a lot to be desired, so indoor air conditioning has been a staple to keep makeup from running.  Designers didn't seem to get that memo until the weather had cooled, though.

Our work for the week is just about done, so we're looking forward to seeing the annual September 11th memorial, and taking a moment to pay our respects to the victims.  New York is always wonderful to visit, but we're looking forward to getting back to home sweet home! :o)

    Another great fashion event especially when famous fashion lines and services are heading the activities. You couldn't expect anything less from Mercedes-Benz but the unpredictable weather may just have ruined it. Good thing there are contingencies prepared for this type of situation.
