Every woman wants seductively supple skin, no matter how old she is or what she does for a living. The problem that most 20-somethings face is that they aren’t used to having to work to get their skin smooth and soft. Every teenage girl in the world has a natural glow to her skin, but that fades right at the beginning of the second life-decade. What can you do? Spend a week getting back on track. Here is a five day guide to natural looking skin.
Day 1 – Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a process that takes off all the dead skin cells lurking on the surface of your face. Once these are gone, new skin cells will grow in their place. This process takes a couple days to complete, but it will eventually lead to a completely new layer of soft skin to feel. That’s why it’s best to stick this step at the beginning of the week so your skin has time to adjust.
Day 2 – Exercise
Believe it or not, you need to try to exercise your facial muscles just like you would any other muscle in your body. This is going to keep your skin firm, and it will encourage circulation in your face. The lazy (bet effective) way to do this is to buy a machine that basically does the work for you. You put it on your cheeks and let the vibrating pulses from it give your skin a workout. To do things the old fashioned way though, just spend about a half hour moving around all the different muscles in your face and when you start to feel sore, stop for the day.
Day 3 – Oil Treatment
Using a warm oil treatment will allow your skin to reestablish some of the moisture it needs to stay soft. There are a million different products out there that can help you do this, and you can even make some on your own. The key here is to look for natural products that are infused with vitamin K and vitamin E. These nutrients are great for skin, and they should plump yours right back up.
Day 4 – Mint Mask
What girl doesn’t like getting a mint mask treatment? Sure, it makes your skin stiff when it’s on, but then you get to feel the cool rush of exfoliated pores and cleanliness. You can use a mint mask from a bottle, or you could make one on your own. You could even splurge and go to the spa for one, depending on what your schedule looks like. The cucumber eye-covers aren’t required, but they could be a nice touch!
Day 5 – Rest
Your skin needs rest just as much as you do. Use this fifth day just to give it a break. Don’t wear any makeup, and try to get as much sleep as possible. Your body will do the work for you at that point.
Additional Tips
In addition to the steps mentioned above, you need to make sure you wash and moisturize your face on a daily basis. Wear minimal makeup to avoid clogging your pores, and protect your face with simple sun screen. Avoid stressful events that can make you restless, and sleep as much as you can at night. If you can do all of that, then you’ll have super natural skin in less than a week.
